TLS Furniture (“by design”) produces both US made upholstery and casegoods with standard 8-12 week lead-times. They also offer imported specialty product and guestroom casegoods programs with 16 week lead-times.

In 2010, TLS was a Sage Award finalist for their environmental stewardship, with one of the smallest carbon footprints — over 90% of their content coming within a 100-mile radius of the factory.
A futon manufacturer uses all of their scrap polyester fiber, and a local charity recycles all of their cardboard, using the proceeds to better serve the community. TLS remains committed to environmental excellence and to our community.

SUSTAINABILITY:
From their founding TLS has taken environmental stewardship very seriously, both in terms of materials and processes utilized in production.
Product: For seat cushions they start with a combination of high resilience foams which contain 15-35% soy in the form of bio-based Polyol. Their 8-Way tied ModuCoil suspension units and other springs are made from 100% recycled steel. The hardwoods utilized are grown, dried, and milled locally.
Scrap: TLS bales all scrap cardboard and donates it to a local charity who uses the proceeds to supplement their budget which supports a variety of community activities. All of their scrap polyester is re-purposed by a regional mattress and futon producer.
Carbon Footprint: TLS has one of the smallest carbon footprints in the industry with 80% or more of their product content sourced within a 75 mile radius of our factory. Shipping is one of the largest contributors to pollution. TLS partners with other firms tying into existing routes and sharing back-hauls for a majority of their supplies.

Unlike most other furniture producers, they do not pay our employees a piece rate, instead provide a living-wage and benefits which encourage quality production.
Private Label: TLS has a strong Private Label Program, providing exclusive production of their client’s unique designs. TLS provides custom and standard-line banquettes to some of the leading upholstery resources in the country. They label and economically drop-ship the product under the individual brands. TLS Furniture is the trusted brand for upholstered and casegoods products.
